VENUE REBRAND NOTICE: Qudos Bank Arena has been renamed Afterpay Arena under a five-year naming rights partnership announced 20 May 2026. External signage transitions through to July 2026 — during the transition period you may encounter mixed branding on-site, in correspondence, and in third-party scheduling systems. All references in this document use the new venue name.

Arrival & Parking

  • Park vehicles only in locations instructed by event organisers or security.
  • Do not use unauthorised parking bays at any time.
  • For Afterpay Arena, primary access is from Edwin Flack Avenue; park P1 is adjacent (3,400 spaces).

Security Check-In

  • Proceed on foot to the Security Desk — located on the left side of the Dock Entrance.
  • Collect your security pass and radio.
  • Ensure all team members hold required access credentials.
  • Use your VTEvents APP ID if required for credential verification.
  • Ensure you have completed the General Site Induction prior to your shift.
BOWL ENTRY: When lights are flashing, hard hats are required before entering the Bowl. All staff must understand this requirement. If you have not completed the General Site Induction, scan the QR code at the loading dock entry.

Proceed to the Dock Medical Room

  • Enter the venue via the Dock Entrance and proceed directly to the Dock Medical Room.
  • Location: East side of the dock — opposite the west side elevator (lift).
  • This is the designated EMS Event Medical base for the event.
  • Place all medical equipment, kits and personal items securely within this room.
  • Ensure the area remains tidy and accessible for rapid deployment at all times.

Site Familiarisation & Inspection

Conduct a thorough inspection of the venue, focusing on:

  • All entry and exit points
  • Emergency evacuation routes
  • Locations of other first aid stations, AEDs and other medical resources
  • Familiarise yourself with the arena layout, noting any restricted-access areas or high-risk zones

Stakeholder Introductions

Introduce yourself to all key venue personnel, including:

  • Security supervisors
  • Event organisers
  • Venue management
  • Any other relevant stakeholders

Clearly communicate the location of the EMS base to all stakeholders.

Provide your contact details and radio channel for urgent communication.
